Guided Hiking Tours

We offer both full day and half day tours.

1/2 day tour is 4 hours $125

Full day tour is 6 hours $200

Our professionally guided hiking tours are for groups of 2-6 people. Transportation to and from Sooke is included. For those who are hiking the West Coast Trail or Juan de Fuca trail we offer transportation to and from Port Renfrew for $250. Gourmet lunches are available for $25 on all hikes. New!! Beach walks and tidepool tours available on days with low tides. Please call ahead to check tide before booking a beach/tidepool tour online.

Aylard Farm

Aylard Farm

East Sooke Park - The hike starts in a beautiful homestead and continues along oceanside rock bluffs and pebble beaches. It is also possible to start this tour at Anderson Cove (a good option in the busy summer months).

Mt Quimper

Mt Quimper

Sooke - Moderate difficulty. Full Day tour. From the trailhead, we hike to the top of Mt Manuel Quimper. The trail leads us through a lush Douglas Fir and Arbutus forest. Amazing 360 degree view of the Sooke Basin and Juan De Fuca Straight, with the Olympic mountains in the background. This is a great place to enjoy a delicious lunch before the descent back to the parking lot.

Sandcut Beach

Juan De Fuca Park - 1/2 day tour. A 30 minute drive from Sooke takes us to the Sand Cut Beach Trailhead. After a 10 minute walk through an old growth forest, we arrive on Sand Cut beach where it is possible to walk for hours (at low tide) along the beach.

Jordan River beach Tour

Jordan River beach Tour

This guided beach tour starts in Jordan River a 30 minute drive from Sooke. We can walk along the beach North or South at low tide. On this tour you might see Bald Eagles, Black Bears and possibly Humpback Whales. We can stop and make a tea from native plants, or just enjoy the sound of the waves. Gourmet lunches are available on all hikes for $25. Please call ahead to check tide before booking online.

Muir Creek Beach Tour

Muir Creek Beach Tour

This beach tour starts at Muir Creek a 10 minute drive West from Sooke. On this half day tour we can walk along the beach at low tide exploring tidepools and looking for fossils. This is a perfect place to see Bald Eagles, Humpback Whales, Otters and Sea Lions. Please call ahead to check tide tables before booking.

Pacheedaht Beach

Full day tour. It's an hour and 20 minute drive from Sooke to Pacheedaht beach. This beautiful beach is the longest sandy beach in the area. It boasts amazing gigantic water worn trees as driftwood and is about 3 klms long. This tour can include an option to explore historic Port Renfrew,

Sombrio Beach

Sombrio Beach

Juan De Fuca - Full day hike. It is a one hour drive to the trailhead from Sooke. This is a popular surf destination. The hike is an easy 15 minute walk to the beach. This beach is well known for its smooth sandstone formations. Here we can explore the amazing waterfalls and the secret corners of this area. Gourmet lunches are available on all hikes upon request.

Whiffen Spit Tidepool tour

Whiffen Spit Tidepool tour

This beach tour starts at Whiffen Spit in Sooke and follows a sandstone shoreline riddled with beautiful tidepools (similar to Botanical Beach). This is an excellent location for seeing an active Bald Eagles Nest, Humpback Whales, Sea Lions and River Otters. Please call ahead to check tide before booking.

Chin Beach

Chin Beach

Juan De Fuca - This is a full day hike. Go where only the locals know! After a 50 minute drive from Sooke, we arrive at the unmarked Chin Beach trailhead. We hike through an old growth cedar forest filled with ferns and moss. The hike is approximately 1.5 hours each way with some steep sections. Chin beach is rarely visited and has incredible features such as rock arches and sandy beaches. A great place to enjoy an ocean front lunch. This hike is best when timed with a low tide.

Bear Beach

Bear Beach

Beautiful Bear beach is located on the Juan De Fuca trail - Full day tour. A 45 minute drive brings us to the Bear beach trailhead. Here we leave the highway on an unmarked 45 minute moderate hike down to Bear beach. This access is the shortest way in to Bear beach, and is not shown on park maps. At the beach we have plenty of time to explore the area and enjoy a gourmet lunch.
